Our sport program has been thoughtfully crafted to improve health and fitness, self-confidence, and general wellbeing, in a way that is engaging and fun to each individual. The cornerstones of our program are focused around building life skills - in particular, self-awareness, skill development, game sense, and respect for others. 

Every student participates in our annual sports carnivals and our interschool sports program throughout the school year.

HPE
All students from Years Prep to 6 will be provided with a specialist HPE lesson which provides the opportunity to participate in a sequential range of outdoor activities that encourages physical, social and emotional development, aligned with the Australian Curriculum. These experiences include a whole range of outdoor experiences, play, sport, competition and camps. The main focus are self-awareness, skill development, game sense and inclusive fair play so that all students have a chance to improve and achieve personal success.

Sporting Groups 

Bethania Lutheran School offers a large variety of sporting groups to choose from. These include, but are not limited to: Athletics, AFL, Basketball, Bocce, Cricket, Cross Country, Netball, Soccer, Tennis and Volleyball. 

We also run a number of free clubs/social groups during lunch time, such as; photography, dance, clean up, nature play, athletics, Japanese, chaplaincy, 'Connect', and chess. New groups are added periodically, with some created and run by students themselves. With community a big part of our school's identity, we encourage students to explore their interests and share them with others in a supportive environment. This not only fosters creativity and collaboration, but also helps students develop leadership skills and build lasting friendships.

All Sporting House names come from the First Nation's Yugambeh tribe, the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and learn.
